Permanent, full-time



About the Role

You’ll be joining a dedicated and ambitious team, made up of Business Analysts and Quality Assurance Engineers. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll contribute to solution planning and delivery, optimization of systems quality and service.



This role provides rostered 24x7 on-call support for systems related issues within the team’s responsibilities.



Our data platform team is responsible to deliver the high levels of data quality and integrity required by TSB, while maintaining data accuracy and security.



Who are you?

You will have a strong understanding of data engineering concepts, methodologies and tools, as well as experience with data validation, data profiling, and data quality assurance.



You will require familiarity with various database and data warehousing systems (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake) and knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).



It is important that you have knowledge of analytical techniques such as Data mining, Data analysis, mapping and modelling, and experience in orchestration tools.



You will be an individual that will always be learning, taking responsibility for your work, provide visibility on your daily activities, and collaborates effectively with Business Owners and different stakeholders to gather Data requirements and provide solutions.



You will be required to have a hands-on attitude, demonstrate strong leader ability and proven facilitation and negotiation skills.



Your responsibilities will also include:

Ensure security, performance and data integrity standards are upheld.
Lead the definition and refinement of user stories and acceptance criteria.
Actively contribute to quality assurance and user acceptance testing activities
Contribute to the training and education of peers, business units and stakeholders.


To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data modelling, Azure Databricks and Spark/PySpark, ETL/ELT testing, with strong SQL skills.
Strong understanding of Data Engineering concepts, methodologies, and tools.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Demonstrated commercial experience in API-Led web & mobile app ecosystems.
