WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for web and mobile applications.
Lead end-to-end testing efforts, including functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and identify edge cases.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile platforms using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
Perform API testing using tools such as Ready API, Postman or REST-assured to ensure seamless backend/frontend integration.
Experience in working with BDD and TDD frameworks.
DevOps CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.
Conduct cross-platform and cross-browser testing for responsive design and compatibility.
Monitor and analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, testing tools, and industry trends.
Expert knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, DevOps, environments and test integration, with an understanding of automation framework(s) & automation strategies
Experience with cloud based platforms like Perfecto, Sauce labs, BrowserStack and LambdaTest etc.
Nice to have experience in leveraging GenAI for quality engineering
In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in quality assurance, including web and mobile app testing.
Strong expertise in manual and automated testing techniques.
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs and web services using tools like Postman, Swagger, or equivalent.
Solid understanding of mobile app testing on iOS and Android platforms, including device emulators and physical devices.
Familiarity with cross-browser testing tools (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and accessibility testing tools.
