BWR offers rating services to Bank Loans, NCD, Commercial Paper, Bonds, Mutual Funds, PPMLDs, and Security Receipts. BWR’s ratings have rated over 100,000 large corporates, Banks, Financial Institutions, State and local Governments, and small businesses. BWR provides investors and lenders, with timely and in-depth research across the structured finance, public
finance, financial institutions, project finance, and corporate sectors.
Location: Mumbai/New Delhi
Education: Postgraduate in Finance / Commerce or CA. Any additional certifications in finance will be an added advantage.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the credit rating domain in rating agencies and banks.
Primary Responsibility:
● The Senior Rating Analyst would conduct end-to-end rating involving the following primary responsibilities:
● The position is part of the Large Corporate Group and the role entails undertaking rating assignments in respect of financial instruments, bank loans, and other debt products, and ensuring timely delivery of the same as per the laid down regulatory timelines.
● To independently handle the rating assignments and analyze financial statements factoring quantitative & qualitative data points, key ratios, and performance to assess the creditworthiness of the company.
● To prepare rating reports covering the risk assessment concerning Management, Financials, Business and Industry, benchmarking with peers, and key rating considerations.
● Interact with company management, auditors, bankers, and other lenders and visit companies and factories as part of the regular monitoring and data gathering.
● To take ownership of the folio by carrying out regular surveillance, monitoring, and reviews every quarter/ material event basis, tracking the performance of the companies concerning macroeconomic changes, and handling internal and external audit queries.
● Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures, regulations & policies.
● Mentor and guide junior rating analysts
Competency / Skills:
● Strong domain knowledge in the credit ratings/banking / financial services sector with an analytical approach.
● Assessment of creditworthiness of large and medium businesses
● Strong analytical and presentation skills to present the facts and recommendations to the rating committees.
● Strong written and oral communication skills in English (for report-writing, making presentations)
● Ability to structure and write high-quality reports, and multi-task under tight deadlines.
● Excellent customer communication skills to elicit information, ask questions, communicate rating decisions, and convince stakeholders
● Good understanding of accounting standards, banking-related financial concepts, and strong quantitative and analytical skills
● Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a larger team, and lead and mentor team members
● Adept at organizing, analyzing, and reporting data
● Skilled in working with details and numbers
● A strong sense of ethics
