We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Registered Nurse - Regulatory to join our team. The successful candidate will provide clinical advice, support, and guidance to SIRS assessors managing notifications within clinical issues.

Responsibilities
">

Analyse evidence from a range of sources, including clinical documentation and compare it with expected clinical practice in aged care to identify clinical risks and deficiencies in care provision.
">
Provide clinical advice, support, and guidance to SIRS assessors managing notifications within clinical issues.
">
Create a positive and collaborative culture that encourages and acts on feedback via Quality Assurance (peer to peer review) of clinical advice provided by other SIRA Registered Clinicians (RCs) and/or Clinical Advisers from CCAG's Clinical Unit.
">
Contribute to and support the development of clinical governance within SIRA.
">
Contribute to triage and assessment of referrals and requests for clinical advice of notifications and information received.
">
Manage your own caseload by ensuring timely and effective advice while contributing to the overall objectives and outcomes of your team.

Requirements
">
To be eligible for this position, you must:
">
">
Be an Australian citizen.
">
Satisfy a National Coordinated Criminal History Check.
">
Satisfy a pre-existing medical condition declaration.
">
Have current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) supported by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
">
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to assess and manage risk, work within legislative requirements, make impartial recommendations, and access and use specialist advice when needed.
">
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write comprehensive evidence-based clinical advice with justifiable reasoning for decisions.
