Job Description
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Registrar/Fellow (Neurology Movement Disorders) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide high-level clinical assessment and management of patients with movement disorders, in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Contribute to multidisciplinary case conferences for neuromodulation therapies, including pre-operative evaluation, imaging review, and post-procedural programming and follow-up.
Be extensively involved in clinical research activities of the department
Engage in departmental quality improvement initiatives, audit activities, and morbidity and mortality reviews
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in Medicine, Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification registrable with the Medical Board of Australia
AHPRA Registration
Applicants who do not meet the Senior Registrar qualifications may be considered for a Principal House Officer (L4-L9) position within the team
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary full time 6 months (with the possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $6 524.30 - $7 189.50 per fortnight
