Experience
3-6 years of experience in loan origination and account management, associated with retail lending products
Job Duties
• The role entails supporting the Credit Risk team of a global bank, in analyzing their retail lending products (such as mortgages, credit cards, loans and overdrafts)
• Supporting loan origination activities such as risk-based loan pricing, limit setting, loan loss modelling, line management, etc.
• Credit risk management of the assigned retail portfolio and performing loan analytics (such as stress testing, sensitivity analysis)
• Suggest credit strategies across the loan life cycle (from origination to recovery/collection)
• Creating interactive dashboards to visually represent and review key metrics and performance/trends for the underlying retail lending portfolio
• Generating MIS, business insights and highlighting portfolio hotspots by deploying available data and applying statistical tools/techniques
• Regular interaction with the client to discuss loan origination/management strategies, visualization dashboards as well as workflow
• Engage with client teams proactively and identify opportunities for standardization of processes to bring in effectiveness and gain efficiency
Academic Qualification
Preferred: Masters in Finance/Mathematics/Economics/Statistics/ CA. CFA certifications will be an advantage
Skills and Traits Required
The following traits are mandatory:
• Strong understanding of core finance and accounting concepts. Knowledge of financial services and retail banking operations (ideally in a global bank set-up) are required
• Prior experience in the loan life cycle operations, particularly loan origination is required
• Experience in loan analytics such as portfolio stress testing, loan loss modelling, is required
• Knowledge of Python/SAS/R, SQL and other equivalent analytical tools is a must
• Knowledge on Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and Qliksense is preferred
• Knowledge of regulations pertaining to banking and retail loans
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Strong process orientation and time management skills
• Ability to communicate analytical thoughts in a crisp, concise and precise manner
• Strong inter-personal skills and ability to participate/contribute as a team player
• Prior experience in Retail Loan Management, Business Analysis, Project Management and Client Management is preferred
