JOB REQUISITES
Role Summary
This role is to work as part of WSP Complementary Resource Centre (CRC) as part of an engineering team and taking a senior role in the production of detailed structural drawings in Revit and AutoCAD focused on production and liaison with the WSP UK team and mentoring and coaching junior members of the team.
Responsibilities:
Core Functions
· Prepare structural detail and concept design drawings for various building and construction types to be built predominantly in UK
· Responsible for Revit and CAD standards, implementation, and enforcement
· Creation and maintenance of the software template files to assure standards
· Automate routines to support standards and productivity
· Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced
· Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
Technical and Project Management
· Maximizing utilization on projects
· Training and mentoring of junior staff
· Create Revit families in response to project requirements
Key Competencies / Skills:
Mandatory Skills
· Must be fully conversant with technical structural software, such as Revit Structures, ACAD, Navisworks and Micro station,
· A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential
· Must be fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology
· The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual focused on delivery to the client and technical excellence.
· The role requires management of a number of projects and becoming involved in designs at an early stage. The role includes management of fees, project-resource management, mentoring and coaching junior members of the team. The ability to plan and design deliverables against national & international engineering standards for each stage of a project is a pre-requisite and training and guidance will be provided where necessary.
· Must have a professional appearance.
· Must have good working knowledge of Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spread sheets, e-mail, web-enabled applications and database software

· Cultural awareness, conscientious and an open mind and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for the role.
· Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
· Applicants need to be able to demonstrate good management, communication and technical skills and be capable of working both within the team and independently, as dictated by workload
· Good presentation skills
Qualifications
· 8+ year's production experience in design, drafting and engineering with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record
· Minimum 4 years' experience with Revit Structures
