Experience: Typically 8+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails and full-stack development
2+ years of experience with NodeJS

Responsibilities
Feature Development: Architect, build, and maintain scalable web features using Ruby on Rails, Postgres, and BigQuery, ensuring an excellent user experience for our web community of engineers
System Architecture: Collaborate on architectural decisions, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability while scaling our systems to support high traffic
API Development: Develop and maintain efficient APIs using GraphQL and REST, enabling seamless integration and access to our community-driven content
Complex Problem Solving: Analyze complex situations and data, using in-depth evaluation to develop innovative solutions that meet our community’s needs and improve our platform’s functionality
Heroku & Google Cloud: Manage deployments and optimize our back-end infrastructure, leveraging Heroku and Google Cloud
DevOps & Automation: Improve our CI/CD processes and ensure system reliability by working with tools like Github, CircleCI, Heroku CLI, Sentry, and other DevOps tools
Front-end Collaboration: Work closely with our front-end team, which uses React, to deliver cohesive and engaging user experiences
Code Reviews & Mentorship: Review code, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to a culture of high engineering standards

Senior Ruby Software Engineer

Location: Remote, US

We’re seeking someone with extensive knowledge of Ruby and other backend web technologies, a deep understanding of principles and industry best practices, and a knack for developing robust, scalable solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Feature Development: Architect, build, and maintain scalable web features using Ruby on Rails, Postgres, and BigQuery, ensuring an excellent user experience for our web community of engineers.
