Job Description
• Customer Mapping
• Mapping of all utilities across the nation, their locations circle locations, zones, etc.
• Customer Relationship
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key utility officials at headquarters, zone, and circle levels across India.
• Keeping track of organizational changes of key decision-making officials.
• Customer Information
• Discussion with utilities and maintaining data regarding their budget for the coming years, their budget allocation in various segments, procurement plan, project plans, upcoming tenders plan, etc.
• Technical Knowledge base
• Study products unique features, and specifications and maintain a knowledge base regarding our product range. Reason and benefits for each unique feature in terms of relevant national and international standards.
• Competition analysis
• Keep track of product models and specifications of competition products. Study technical specifications and pricing of competing products in comparison to our products.
• Plan strategy for winning tenders based on competition specifications and pricing.
• Approvals and Specifications
• Tracking approval requirements and specifications incorporation requirements with timeline target based on procurement plan, tenders, and project plan of utilities.
• Studying the tender specifications of all utilities related to the products with which we are dealing. Discussing with officials technically and giving recommendations on upgradation in specifications.
• Responsible for ensuring that every tender, project, or direct procurement in utilities is coming with upgraded specifications.
• Giving recommendation on product upgradation to R&D based on industry trend and customer pain point per product.
• Information on Current Assets in Utilities
• Discuss and collect information on various testing equipment and procedures followed by utilities and give recommendations to them on how they can make process improvements by using Motwane testing and condition monitoring products.
• Check the total install base of various testing equipment per utility and plan a strategy to upgrade them with Motwane products.
• Teamwork
• Coordination with Tendering team, project business team, field sales team, and other departments for smooth operation and execution of responsibilities assigned.
Pre-requisites
• Prior experience in a similar role shall be preferred.
• Candidates having a background in Sales, Marketing, and/or Business Development of similar products shall be preferred.
• Must have good relations with multiple utilities in India.
Qualifications
• Graduate Engineer in Electrical, E&TC or other similar fields.
• A management degree or certificate courses shall be preferred.
Experience
• 3+ years of experience
• Experience in a similar role or Experience in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development of similar products in Utilities
