GFT is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Team in the Rockland and Westchester county areas. This role requiring regular attendance onsite.

What you’ll be challenged to do:
We are seeking a Construction Inspector to support our growing team in the Orange County, NY area for upcoming projects. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that construction projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards while working alongside a team of dedicated professionals.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Must perform all testing/inspections in a timely manner and adhere to Gannett Flemings Quality Management Protocols (QMP)
Complete daily inspection reports on a daily basis
Represent the client and Gannett Fleming interests in a professional manner and appearance
Be onsite during contractor work activities
Report and take directions from the Resident Engineer

What you’ll bring to our firm:
High School Diploma
NICET Highway Construction Inspection Level II, III, or IV
Experience with NYSDOT preferred
Must understand comprehensive construction drawings, standard specifications and Shop Drawing submittals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows
Ability to travel and work flexible schedules including overtime and potential nightwork
Must be physically capable and willing to work outdoors, maneuver difficult terrain and pass a medical evaluation
Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to, from and around project locations
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $150,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
