What is the opportunity
• The Policy Administration Squad team is constantly undertaking complex development initiatives within Insurance Technology.
• In this role, you will be a Sr. Software Developer within the INGENIUM development team, responsible for designing and implementing software solutions.
• The role involves coordination, development, communication, and execution to ensure objectives are accomplished on time and meet intents.
What will you do?
• Designing and coding application programs; performing testing for developed applications.
• Reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system.
• Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems. Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.
• Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• 3+ years’ experience with COBOL, DB2, JavaScript.
• 3+ years’ experience with JCL.
• Knowledge of security protocols.
• Full software development life-cycle experience and thorough testing prior to release
• Understanding of Agile.
Nice-to-have
• Insurance and/or Financial Industry experience.
• INGENIUM experience.
• Knowledge of developing distributed cloud applications (OpenShift - OCP);
• Experience using and developing APIs.
• Knowledge of major architectures style (message oriented, reactive, event based).
• Micro-service architecture, design, and implementation (load balancing, discovery, resiliency).
