With this position we offer
Join the development organization for Nasdaq Universal Matching Engine team in Bangalore. The Universal Matching Engine (UME) product is a multi-asset trading solution operating 24/7 and designed for SaaS delivery using public cloud infrastructure with fast time to market. The main objective of the development team is to understand the information technology needs of the business and provide high quality technical solutions. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and expert team members. Together with your team, you will be responsible for developing, delivering and supporting the product.
Your role and responsibilities:
As a Senior Software Developer in the project development team, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
Analyze requirements, design, develop, troubleshoot and implement solutions for complex assignments.
Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews and code reviews.
Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.
Conduct performance testing, security code analysis, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
We expect you to have:
At least 2 years of software development experience.
Proficiency in C/C++ on linux platform.
Expertise on OOPS, design patterns and C++ templates.
Expertise in working on linux/unix servers, in docker environment and shell scripting.
Knowledge of Python and test automation.
Understanding of database concepts.
Expertise in product release process, SaaS delivery model.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, preferably GIT.
Bachelor/Master in computer science.
It would be great if you:
Knowledge on financial markets or trading.
Fair understanding of language tools like valgrind.
Knowledge of CI/CD.
Knowledge of Java.
Knowledge of AWS, Azure.
