DNV is in the middle of an exciting digital transformation, as are the industries in which we operate. The center in Pune is one of the key units in supporting DNV business areas with tools and systems to maintain customer contact and services.
DNV Maritime Digital Development is establishing a software development center in DNV Pune.
We are looking for highly motivated senior software developers for our new development center in Pune. We are offering an exciting opportunity to become part of shaping the team within this new location. Reporting to the Head of Digital Development at Pune and working close with other development centers in Høvik Norway, Gdynia Poland you will be part of the global Maritime development team tasked with delivering state-of-the-art solutions and helping customers reach their goals.
Our technology platform is a web-centric set of microservices that leverages the latest Microsoft technology stack and open-source solutions, both on-premise and in the Azure cloud. The platform is based on innovative use of web components for composition and machine learning/AI for data analysis and human assistance tools.
The Maritime industry needs to reduce the CO2 emissions from international shipping. DNV is a key player to help the industry reach this goal.
We aim to continue our leading role as a classification society through these major transformations. At the same time, we want to lead the digital transition of assurance in the maritime market and take new third-party roles towards a wider part of the value chain.
We strongly believe that our digitalization initiatives are important tools to help achieve this.
Class Development is about 120 people strong, and we are responsible for the maritime digital platform in DNV. Several development teams handle more than 250 applications, used by thousands of people internally and externally, 24/7, all over the world.
Position Qualifications:
As a senior software developer, you can work both front-end, back-end, and database of applications. Technical architecture may also become part of your tasks.
To qualify, we need you to have:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• 8+ years of experience with and can build robust, scalable and flexible solutions using Microsoft technology stack, e.g. ASP.NET, .NET, WebAPI, GraphQL, C#, Typescript, React, WebComponents, NServiceBus
• Familiarity with microservice architecture styles/APIs and system design
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps
• Experience in the full lifecycle of the application
• Experience with agile development practices
• Fluent in English to get the message across loud and clear
