Job Description
AireSpring is seeking a Software Development Team Lead to join our growing team. This is a multifaceted role where you will be expected to perform both as an individual contributor and by helping to build, train, and lead our software development team. AireSpring’s development methodology is Agile in nature and successful candidates should be familiar with Agile software development processes.
Responsibilities
• Contributing to the preparation of our technical development plan and standard. Must be familiar with all steps of the SDLC
• Checking the quality of software output produced by the other members of the team and providing technical input on their code
• Managing team and individual projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and that software packages are properly integrated
• Consulting with other departments to define user requirements
• Managing team’s organizational structure, use case gathering and sprints
• Onboarding additional developers
• Collaborate with our Product and Project Management teams to design and deliver new product features or updates to existing products
• Prioritize, schedule and delegate ticket assignments to staff
• Prepare management reports on the status and maintenance of software
• Assist QA in the in-unit testing of applications
• Assist management and users in researching and evaluating software products
• Provide escalation support to users
• Write code, analyze and resolve application problems (about 50% of your time)
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with the ASP.NET framework.
• 2+ years of experience as a manager of a software development team (team follow-up, reporting, team building and motivation, training and coaching). Can manage both local and offshore team members.
• Must be highly proficient in writing C# / JavaScript code using Microsoft Visual Studio. Visual Basic experience is desirable.
• Long-term experience and a deep understanding of Web Forms development.
• A solid understanding of ADO.NET. Entity Framework development experience is desirable.
• Proficient in Transaction-SQL. Data structures, tables, indexes and writing queries. Experience with SP, SSIS is helpful.
• Proficiency working in the Microsoft Windows environment.
• A solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Experience building and consuming both REST and SOAP APIs. Strong grasp of both XML and JSON formats.
