Job Summary:
We are looking for an ambitious, self-driven and detail-oriented Principal Software Engineer. You will work on building API Framework for integrating log data from different sources – Cloud provider logs, SaaS Apps logs and custom application logs (AWS Services, Logstash, OKTA, Netskope etc.) Building parsers, and Conversion into different formats loading into data lake. The work is challenging, fast-paced, and always changing. You have demonstrated analytical skills, an unwavering commitment to quality, a collaborative work ethic, and innovative coding skills.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior software developer, will be designing and building data collection integration modules for collecting the log data from different sources – Cloud, Applications, how grown software
Industry Experience/Skills:
Must have:
• 6-8+ years of experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• 5+ years of experience in programming languages - Java, J2EE, JDBC, Python or Ruby
• 3+ years using Spring Boot, Spring Rest services, Django
• Solid experience working with Microservices or service-oriented patterns, Cloud-Native architecture
• Strong experience with API gateway, API and Event-driven systems
• Strong knowledge of Domain driven design in a distributed service environment
• Experience with routing and messaging tools / patterns
• Experience with Agile methodology and Jira tool
Nice to have:
• 2+ years using Elastic Search stack; Logstash; include collecting, parsing, and transforming attribute data and log data from disparate sources, understanding the Elastic Common Schema, the use of Filter plugins and building new plugins
• Knowledge of Service Mesh technologies
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience in Snowflake
• Experience with AWS, Azure Cloud technology stack - AWS (boto3, cloudformation, IAM, cloudwatch, eventbridge, cloudtrail, S3), Nginx
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/B.E. or equivalent
• Excellent development Skills experience primarily building microservices
• Have superior design and structured thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
