Team Overview
Join our Product Maintenance team as a Senior Java Developer, based in our Koramangala, Bengaluru office. This team is pivotal to maintaining the integrity, reliability, and stability of the EquiLend Spire platform - a securities finance solution trusted by leading financial institutions globally.
In this role, you’ll work on resolving complex bugs, improving system performance, and ensuring uninterrupted client experiences. You’ll also play a key part in mentoring junior developers and helping to maintain knowledge continuity in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities
Resolve complex bugs and system issues across production and staging environments, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to investigate root causes and implement long-term fixes.
Improve code quality through regular code reviews, technical documentation, and adherence to best practices.
Provide hands-on mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers, supporting knowledge retention within the team.
Maintain and enhance microservices architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Take ownership of the incident lifecycle—triaging, debugging, and deploying fixes through CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure timely delivery of maintenance tasks while maintaining compliance with internal SLAs.
Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies, ensuring alignment with team priorities and business objectives.
Required Skills
4+ years of commercial experience in Java development (excluding internships).
Proven experience with Java frameworks including Spring and Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL for database querying and performance tuning.
Familiarity with RESTful services, microservice architecture, and troubleshooting in distributed systems.
Experience working with messaging or streaming frameworks like Kafka, MQ, or Redis.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and debugging tools for production environments.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor others and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Prior exposure to Agile methodology and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
Proficiency in English with clear and effective communication skills.
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
