Job Description We're looking for an exceedingly talented Senior Software Engineer to work as part of the Mergent Development team. Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities: Demonstrates significant knowledge of a single or multiple technologies and advises on design, development and implementation Develop clean, efficient, and secure backend code in C# .NET and cloud-native architectures. Create intuitive, responsive UIs using PHP and NodeJS Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and automated CI/CD pipelines for rapid delivery. Work with databases like Oracle, Aurora MySQL and MSSQL. Contribute to code reviews, mentor peers, and help shape a world-class engineering culture. Analyze production problems & provide troubleshooting & support. Work with upstream and downstream development teams to implement functionality. Work with QA teams to design test cases and to implement automated test drivers. Promote a culture of teamwork, high performance and quality via code reviews, ensuring standards and best practices are followed via agile methodologies. Essential Skills/Experience Required: Years Experience (Senior): 3-6 years Good working experience in PHP, NodeJS, Delphi, Perl. Working experience in AWS Ability to analyze and troubleshoot existing code and make modifications to remedy issues within an existing framework. Ability to review business/functional requirements and provide detailed design specifications and estimates of work required. Familiar with various design patterns Solid understanding of security implications and secure coding Familiar with RESTful interfaces Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Skill for writing clean, readable code and reusable components Proficient using source code management tools such as Git or SVN Experienced in a formal agile software development lifecycle Familiar with continuous build and integration Education and Experience: Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
