Job Responsibilities
Develop and deploy high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision
Work closely with business analysts and product owners to understand business requirements and create
solutions to meet those requirements in an agile environment
Design and implement technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements
Provide accurate estimates for the development effort for new features
Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices
Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within own team / platform
Use your can-do attitude to drive continuous improvement initiatives within your team
Have the ability to work well in teams, proactively share knowledge, information, problems
and solutions

Technical/Functional Competencies
Worked on backend solutions for online applications available through the Internet for large numbers of concurrent users and high volumes and dealing with the challenges that this brings
Demonstrated experiences and strong skills with Oracle technologies, in Oracle database development using SQL and PL/SQL languages.
Exposure and demonstrated understanding of front-end/app tier technologies including Java
Demonstrated experience working within a LINUX environment
Excellent debugging and analytical skills; able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system
components
Demonstrated skills in contributing to the design of high quality solutions within a distributed environment
Understand the importance of high quality code through non-negotiables like unit tests,
integration/acceptance tests, clean code, reducing framework dependencies, etc.
Good communication skills, being able to talk both in technical and non-technical terms, and receptive to feedback
Desirable skills
Experience with JavaScript, Kotlin, Spring frameworks.
Source control and continuous integration systems (such as Git, TeamCity, NuGet, NPM)
Working within an Agile delivery environment and the use of Agile tools
Exposure to continuous delivery practices and principles
Experience with Automated testing frameworks
Previous trading / finance experience
