Sr Software Engineer - Mainframe DevTooling
Indicative years of total experience: 5+ years
Role Description:
The Sr Software engineer would be a key member of mainframe dev-tooling team working on development tools of mainframe including its maintenance & upgradation.
Reporting relationship:
This role will report to Delivery Manager / Sr Delivery Manager
Key Skillset:
Must have knowledge & hands-on -
• Knowledge & hands-on on z/OS related tools, ability to install & customize IBM & third-party software using SMP/E.
• Hands on experience with tools such as Xpeditor, B+2, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, IDZ, CA7, and other IBM & Broadcom products.
• Must have good understanding on JCL jobs, utilities and VSAM files, ZFS file systems and their concepts.
• Exposure and/or experience with the mainframe (JCL, REXX, Batch Jobs, file systems, encoding etc.) along with experience with IDZ/RDZ tools
Good to have skills-
• Experience to configure & understand CI/CD tools (XLR/Digital.ai, UCD Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git), awareness of environments, applications, server connections, property definitions, templates, etc.
Preffered Certification - IBM Certified Technical Specialist

Education: GraduateBachelors degree (any stream)
Skill set:
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, good documentation skills, strong communications and inter-personal skills, good time management skills. Good aptitude, positive attitude.Must be a good team player. Good learnability and quick grasping, stretch mindset, ability to train junior team members
Other:
Expertize in multiple applications/functionalities, Domain skills and inclination to learn it quickly, good SQL knowledge and understanding of database. Familiarity with MS office and SharePoint, High aptitude, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, Interpersonal and influencing stakeholders
