Senior Software Engineer

You will be working as Senior Software Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology or product development by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Working closely with product owner and scrum master, understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements.
Your responsibilities
Providing broad technical software support, training, pilots and consulting services for clients and to carry out the implementation of company software product in data center automation industry and digital project implementation in data center automation industry.
Analyzing and gathering customer requirements and propose appropriate solutions for data center automation projects and work with project managers to define scope, features and estimates for new projects
Planning project activities with local and remote teams and also to work directly on development tasks; provide technical leadership; coordinate with other resources and create high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets
Working with customers to define new opportunities for plant level applications and should be proficient or have the capability of becoming proficient at installing, configuring, developing a work flow process, troubleshooting the software, and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches
Planning and making technological training for customer key users or internal team also to make clear & concise documentation. Aside from project responsibility, the you have to also provide strategic training, and customer or application support
Performing a variety of complex technology or engineering assignments, which typically require the use of advanced and innovative techniques
Ensuring has solid understanding of the drivers, as well as state of-the art technologies, tools and methods in own competence area. Actively seeks and implements initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction
Your background
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
Minimum 6 - 10 years experience in C#, .Net Core, React.JS
Must have experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, front-end languages, JS-based tools including Jasmin, Bower, Grunt and Gulp
Having excellent troubleshooting skills at module, product & system levels using any of the tools like DebugDiag, WinDbg ( system internal tools ) with hands-on experience in cloud technologies (Azure)
Good to have knowledge in of visual C++, MFC, ATL COM data center automation industry applications & knowledge of any DCS/PLC/SCADA applications will be an added advantage
Experience in developing REST APIs and micro service applications is preferred
