About the role:
Senior Software Engineer role is responsible for driving the overall system design, architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance of end-to-end systems at Aptos'
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent STEM field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in software development including building scalable cloud-native backend systems and strong proficiency in microservices architecture
Strong foundational knowledge in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Software Engineering practices
Expertise in one of the following languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Python and/or C# as well as proficiency in database (SQL)
Experience with containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, or others
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), GCP experience preferred (Big Query, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions)
Exposure to NoSQL DB (MongoDB or similar) is a plus
Exposure to orchestration tools (e.g. Luigi, Airflow, Kubeflow etc.) is a plus
You display ownership, team-spirit, are a clear communicator, can lead cross-functionally and with empathy
What You'll Do
Work with product, engineers, and data scientists to translate ideas into new products, services and features
Drive the overall system design, architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance of applications
You will educate other engineering teams and advocate for scalable and maintainable architectural decisions.
