Senior Software Engineer – Duo Security
Duo Security, now part of Cisco, is the leading multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Zero Trust Security solutions provider. Duo was built with cloud native technologies from the ground up and is a high scale SaaS-only solution running on AWS.

What You’ll Do...
• You will be a part of our global Duo Security engineering team within Cisco’s Security Business Group (SBG).
• You will own, define, implement, test, and release features for SaaS and our security products.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree (or above) in computer science or related field with 6+
years of overall software engineering experience.
• 5 or more years of experience in Full-Stack development using python or other modern languages, front-end technologies, libraries, frameworks (JavaScript, React etc.) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• 3 or more years of experience building large scale, distributed SaaS using AWS (preferred), Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
• 3 or more years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environment and standard methodologies like TDD, Code Reviews and ownership of automated tests to ensure quality.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Are known to be a pragmatic programmer and problem solver, you can deliver results while not succumbing to analysis paralysis or overcomplication.
• Value team success highest and will swarm with your peers to meet our shared goals. As part of an inclusive team, you champion all teammates regardless of level or background.
Nice to have:
• Knowledge/experience with AD/SAML /OAuth.
• Experience with event streaming systems using Kafka.
• Knowledge Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD best practices.
• End to End SaaS coding experience including Billing, Usage, Monitoring etc.
• A proven understanding of security best-practices in web development
• Experience with configuring, testing, and validating cloud infrastructure and applications.
