Role/Responsibilities
Vantiva holds leadership position in Android TV STB space. The responsibility of this role would be to ensure building cloud application to support the Video Products ecosystem. This role would not have direct people management responsibility but would be responsible for technically driving the architecture and direction of the team.

Excellent skills in C/C++/Java programming in embedded domain
Job Responsibilities:
· Working in broadcast feature design, development, porting/customization on Android TV.
· Android TV/Sepolicy for broadcast TV components.
· Working with development/modification to broadcast TV HAL.
· Working in debugging on a wide range of broadcast TV.
· Working in debugging on a wide range of broadcast operators’ headend delivery.
· Working with Android SDK or NDK, Android/Linux Build, Android debugger tools like Android studio
· Workable skills in C/C++/Java programming in embedded domain. Good design & problem-solving skills.
· Create quick proof of concepts and prototype as needed.
· Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
Technical Skills:
· Deep understanding & hands on experience with Android framework internals, and proven work experience on broadcast TV development.
· Excellent Android programming & debugging skills, Android internals, proficiency in Android IPC/multi-threaded software design and development, synchronization primitives, Android JNI, memory management, etc.
· Experience with Android SDK or NDK, Android/Linux Build, Android debugger tools like Android studio
· Excellent skills in C/C++/Java programming in embedded domain. Good design & problem-solving skills.
· Experience in these areas would be added advantage:
o Experience in working in Android TV domain.
o Working in broadcast HW pipeline such as tuner, demux and AV decoders.
o MPEG-2 TS, Video/Audio PES, Video/Audio ES with multiple broadcast AV codecs such as MPEG-2 video, MPEG-4 video, HEVC and MPEG audio, AAC, HE-AAC, AC3, AC3+, AC4
o Broadcast specifications – DVB-T/DVB-C/DVB-S/ISDB-T/ATSC/Multicast IPTV/etc.
o PSI/SI/PSIP – DVB/ISDB tables, ATSC tables and descriptors.
o Working in local time-shifting and PVR.
o Media frameworks – MediaExtractor/MediaCodecs/AudioTrack
o Android TV input framework/Tuner framework/Tuner HAL/Media framework/MediaCas V2.
o CAS – Widevine/Nagra/Synamedia/Verimatrix/Irdeto.
o Working with Android platform team to be able to deal with bug triage.
o Read & Interpret broadcast operators’ headend specifications.
o Debugging broadcast issues using the tools such as DVB inspector.
o Open Source contribution & Google relationship mgmt. esp. for Android releases
o Involved in HW certifications like Dolby/HDMI.
o Involved in SW certifications like NorDig/DTG/etc.
o Experience working with different broadcast SoC architecture like Broadcom/Amlogic/Synaptics/Realtek/Mediatek.
· Good knowledge of working with Open source software packages.
· Experience in Android platform tools and AOSP
· Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
· Experienced in Android programming environment using binder, shared memory etc.
· Hands on experience in customisation of any application framework components
