Senior Software Engineers (C++) | National Security Consultancy | 3 Roles Available | Up to 80,000 + 5,000 Bonus | Manchester | High Level Security Clearance Required | 2 Stage Interview Process
MERITUS are excited to be partnered with an expanding UK national security consultancy looking to build a new capability team in Manchester. They're looking for 3 experienced backend focused software engineers.
The successful candidates will form part of a new team working with UK National Security customers in Manchester to build secure applications & systems. The team operate in a highly Agile / Scrum environment & build mostly in C++ however they are happy to consider candidates with strong backend OOP programming experience in other languages (Python, Java, JavaScript or similar).
They require candidates to hold active high level security clearance.
What You Will Be Doing
• Leading a small team in the development of secure applications & systems across the full lifecycle using C++.
• Liaising with internal & external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are adhered to & project deadlines met.
• Taking an active role in the recruitment of new team members.
• Developing solutions in a highly Agile / Scrum focused development environment.
The Experience You Will Bring To The Team
• In depth coding experience in at least one of the following languages, C++, Python. Java is preferred.
• Experience in full lifecycle development within an Agile / Scrum environment.
• Frontend experience in React or Angular would be highly beneficial.
• Any cloud hosted development experience would be desirable (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Experience in team leadership / management including SLA / KPI management, one to one's & scrum leadership.
• Active DV security clearance.

• Salary up to 80,000
• 5,000 Guaranteed bonus + 10% annual performance bonus
