Job Description
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer on the Data Products team, you will help build and maintain ISS DataDesk, an advanced screening and analytics platform for environmental, social, and governance data. You will work closely with other development teams, product management, application management, and QA to build and ship software using the newest technologies and tools.
Responsibilities
• Build high quality and well tested software for client facing products and internal tools
• Help define the data products architecture
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering peers and product management to implement end-to-end solutions
• Keep up-to-date on latest technologies and trends
• Act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through your technical knowledge/leadership skills and advocate for technical excellence
Requirements
• BE/B-Tech degree in Computer Science or other engineering field
• 5+ years of experience implementing complex systems using Java 8 and above
• Hands of experience with Spring Boot, Micronaut, Microservices, Streaming APIs, Collections, Reactive Programming, Git
• Strong OOPs skills with knowledge of design patterns
• Experience with Linux environment and Bash scripting
• Database experience, ideally SQL Server or Postgres
• Experience delivering RESTful web services
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
