Job Description:


Circles.Life is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend
development. In this role, you will leverage your exceptional software development and
analytical abilities to drive the success of our products. We are looking for a team player with
a strong customer-centric mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and a sense of ownership.
As a senior member of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to high-
impact projects and directly collaborate with senior leadership.


Responsibilities:


 Developing and maintaining multiple microservices utilizing various technology
stacks.
 Taking full ownership of the timely delivery of multiple features, ensuring key
milestones are met and delivering the highest quality results.
 Establishing and promoting best practices for software development in alignment with
company-wide engineering principles, fostering their adoption within the team and
organization.
 Collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, including Product Managers,
Designers, and Marketing, to deeply understand business requirements and align
engineering efforts accordingly.
 Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
 Optimizing software for performance and scalability.
 Designing and implementing database systems in collaboration with database
administrators.
 Deploying and managing software in production, working closely with DevOps
engineers.
 Leading, mentoring, and grooming junior engineers.
 Deeply investigating and resolving issues, taking proactive and reactive measures to
address immediate fixes and execute long-term solutions.
 Taking complete ownership of applications, ensuring quality, security, availability, and
scalability.


Requirements:

 Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or
equivalent.
 Strong understanding of software engineering concepts, design patterns, and
algorithms.
 Minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering, application development,
or system development.
 Experience in startups, product-based companies, or hyper-growth environments is
highly advantageous.
 Excellent knowledge of SDLC activities, including analysis, design, development,
testing, deployment, and post-production support.
 Excellent communication and leadership skills.
 Proficiency in GoLang and Node.js; familiarity with ReactJS is an added advantage.
 Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks.
 In-depth understanding of MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and RMQ.
 Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment.
 Knowledge of DevOps practices and prior experience with cloud providers such as
AWS is preferred.
