Position: Technical Lead - Backend/Sr. Software Engineer/Software Engineer
Location: Bangalore (Off Cubbon Road) - Work from office
Description:
· Design and build apps to be used by millions of farmers and agri businesses
· Build apps that work well on low end devices, low bandwidth and offline.
· Work with geospatial datasets to build solutions for farmers/agri-businesses.
· Be open and vocal about what to build and take ownership
· Work with Android/web developers to develop backend services that meet their needs
· Investigate performance bottlenecks and write code with performance in mind
· Identify libraries and technologies that solve problems and worth experimentation
Requirements
· 2-12 years of experience
· Command over any one language - Python, Java, NodeJS
· Understanding of databases and data models - Relational and Non Relational
· Experience of database design and querying with a focus on performance
· Experience developing web applications
· Familiarity with at least one web framework - Django, Flask, RoR etc
· Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis
· Knowledge of REST paradigm, service oriented architecture and distributed systems
· Clear understanding of data structures and algorithms
