We are seeking aSenior Software Engineer with a solid background in Python programming along with hands-on experience working with test equipment and power electronics hardware, to join our world class Quality team. The primary responsibility is to develop and maintain software which conducts automatedtest, analysis, and reportingfor our products.This software is key to the success of our compliance and reliability programs; the quality of our test systems directly affects our product quality and time to market.
We are looking for acandidatewith an eye for detailand good communication skills, whoisself-drivento deliver quality work. You will bejoiningour team of talented and supportive staff, working fromour offices in Bangalore, India.
What you can look forward to...
• Designingand coding new tests and tools tocontrol laboratory measurement equipmentand to exercise our microinverter, battery storage,power switching, and associated products.
• Working hands-on with building setups to test new hardware products.
• Working with cross functional teams to design test approaches.
• Creating automated report generation from large datasets (using python-docx, pandas, matplotlib, plotly,etc.).
• Writing unit tests for your code.
• Providing input to peer code reviews (Python).
• Using continuous integration systems.
• Applying Agile and Lean methodologies to your workflow.
What you will need to do it well...
• A solid understanding ofObject-OrientedProgramming in Python and good knowledge of Python's standard library.
• Experience writing production quality Python code –providing examples would be ideal.
• Hands-on experience in Electronics Hardware Engineering, or a related fieldis essential.
• Experience in controlling laboratory test equipment programmatically.
• Experience working with teams distributed throughout a global organization.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years recent experience.
