Position : Senior Software Engineer ( JL4)

This role will be focused on designing and engineering the solutions which address Maersk Corporate Affairs with ambition is to develop solutions that digitizes and automate processes, providing Intelligent compliance screening and processing solutions to optimise and drive efficiencies in our business processes.
This role is in the Maersk Technology Corporate Platforms organisation. This organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys and enable access to standardized products and services seamlessly. This team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems, and processes, powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure and APIs, thereby enabling Maersk’s vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting, and simplifying customers’ supply chains. We are digitizing the Maersk business as experienced by our customers and internal operations as experienced by Maersk employees.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Senior Software Engineer is a very important “T-Shaped” role demonstrating both depth and breadth across key engineering competencies, e.g. Systems Design and Architecture, Software Development, Testing, DevOps, Security, Analytics, Lifecycle Management, etc. and successfully collaborate with experts from other subject domains.
As a contributing hands-on engineer in the Corporate Affairs Platform, you will be expected
To actively participate in all the scrum ceremonies, contributes towards building a backlog, release plans, estimations, reviews in collaboration with scrum Master, platform architect, product owners and engineering manager.
To promote Agile,, DevSecOps frameworks and ensure high quality and low cycle times through best software engineering and development practices including automation.
To design, develop, test, deploy, improve and maintain high quality (scalable, reliable, high performant, highly secure) micro services which follows Maersk Architecture principles, Information Models and quality and security standards.
To monitor our business-critical application estate respond to incidents /change request / Bugs, prioritize them, analyze root cause and advise / implement solutions.
To develop reusable code base or libraries for all the cross-cutting concerns which supports building a platform eco system.
To participate in hiring process and support the platform in building high performance teams
To coach, mentor, support junior team members on technical queries / support requests and clear day to day issues or roadblocks.
To collaborate with business owners and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
To collaborate with other team members, perform code reviews and pair programming exercises.
To continuously stay up to date on relevant technologies and use this knowledge to push the team forward.

Around 10+ years of hands-on knowledge in designing, writing, and reviewing high performant reactive clean code
Solid experience in building cloud native, event driven, scalable distributed systems or services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Scala, Spark and containerization
Strong hands-on experience in performant and scalable database design in SQL, NOSQL and GRAPH databases such PgSQL, SQL Server, Cassandra etc
Solid experience in REST APIs, good to have knowledge of GraphQL & gRPC
Strong hands-on experience in GitHub/GitLab and testing tools/ frameworks such as SonarQube, JUnit, Postman, Selenium, Polaris, Blackduck, cypress etc.
Experience with DevSecOps and Lean Development Principles using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD) with GitHub
Strong hands-on experience in any one or more cloud technologies such as Azure/GCP/AWS.
Strong knowledge in data structures, algorithms, design patterns & Clean architecture principles
Strong knowledge in design principles/methodologies such as SOLID, 12 Factor App, XP methodologies, TDD, BDD, Agile Scrum
Strong knowledge of Domain Driven Design & Event Driven Micro Services Architecture.
Good documentation skills needed with experience in Swagger and/or Markdown.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and direction may change rapidly as customer requirements and market direction changes
Good to have knowledge of front end JavaScript framework for instance vue js / react js
A great team player and strong collaborator
Capability to communicate and collaborate with business Experts, IT Governance and other teams
