The Senior Software Engineer I for Radiometer is a significant role in ensuring that the software delivered from the Immunoassay (IA) SW team meets the defined design specification and the quality needs. The team is currently developing software for the IA analyzers in Radiometer’s product portfolio. Team proficiencies are primarily desktop standalone application development and testing. Our software is developed in close collaboration with the other half of the SW team located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In this role, you will be responsible for the Software development and testing for standalone medical devices with external connectivity used in the point of care setup in the hospitals, propose and apply modern methodologies and technologies to build world-class products. You will also work with multi-functional project teams to develop new and sustain the existing products. To achieve the objective of this position you will have to collaborate and connect with all the partners within R&D and beyond.
This position is part of the Radiometer located in Bangalore and will be hybrid. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.
You will be a part of the Immunoassay team and report to the Manager, Software Engineering responsible for the software design and development for the Immunoassay analyzers as part of IA business in Radiometer.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Design and develop new functionalities for medical device software and support the maintenance of the products in the market.
Create Design documents for implemented software features in compliance with medical device standards.
Participate in requirements, system architecture, design, code and test case reviews.
Work with V&V team mates to fully test the features and deliver it timely
Build and execute automated unit and/or other test cases using simulator or on analyzer directly.
Actively participate in Sprint planning and other sprint ceremonies as per the SCRUM Agile process.
Use Danaher’s DBS tools and processes for problem-solving and improvements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelors/Master’s degree (B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech) in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or equivalent with 4-8 years of relevant experience in software programming
Excellent technical knowledge on C# and WPF in Windows platform and have a passion to work across technologies including C#.NET, WPF, C++, VB6, COM, etc with Database knowledge (like MySQL, SQL Server etc.)
Experience in designing software components using UML diagrams, design patterns and principles
Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies with an understanding of several aspects of SW development processes
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience working with Medical domain
Possess good analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Hands-on in Tools like Visual Studio, GIT, TFS, etc.
Travel ~10% (Based on the business needs during the Non COVID times)
