Role Objective We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic C# Developer with expertise in developing MAVLink ground station software to join our team. As a C# Developer specializing in MAVLink ground station development, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining feature-rich ground station applications that communicate with unmanned systems using the MAVLink protocol. Your role will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, UAV pilots, and project managers, to create powerful and user-friendly ground station tools. Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain ground control station software using C# and related technologies.Collaborate with engineers and UAV pilots to understand requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.Implement intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for ground station applications, including real-time telemetry visualization, mission planning, and system monitoring.Establish communication channels with unmanned systems using the MAVLink protocol, ensuring reliable data transmission and reception.Develop features for remote control, configuration, and monitoring of unmanned systems from the ground station software.Integrate with external systems, sensors, and APIs to retrieve and display relevant data for effective decision-making during mission operations.Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following coding standards and best practices.Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, stability, and robustness of the ground station software.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to the ground station tools.Stay up to date with the latest developments in MAVLink protocol, unmanned systems, and related technologies, and incorporate them into the ground station software.Document software designs, processes, and functionality for future reference and maintenance. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing GUIs for complex applications Skills and Abilities (Must Have’s):Experience with real-time data visualization and graphical user interface (GUI) development.Strong proficiency in C# programming language and .NET framework.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. Skills and Abilities (Good Have’s):Experience with other communication protocols used in unmanned systems, such as RTPS or ROS.Experience in developing MAVLink ground station software or a related field.Solid understanding of MAVLink protocol and its message structureKnowledge of geospatial data, maps, and GIS technologies.Familiarity with unmanned systems, such as drones or robotic platforms Knowledge of UAV operation, flight dynamics, and telemetry data.
