The Senior Software Engineer for Radiometer is responsible for designing Software features and implementation for embedded windows software of next generation medical devices.
This position is part of the Software R&D team located in Bangalore, India and will be hybrid. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.
You will be a part of the Transcutaneous monitoring (TCM) software team and report to the Manager responsible for the planning and delivery of the software releases for the TCM product. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Responsible for Software features designing and implementation for embedded windows software of next generation medical device.
• Define Product, System, Components objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
• Participate in a design of features and be responsible to execute the flow from requirements to SW implementation along with hand-on coding. In addition be responsible for defining test cases and writing automated tests to verify SW implementation with quality in mind.
• Participate effectively in estimation, planning, cost-of-quality, and quality risk analysis.
• Ensuring full compliance with relevant work practices, as required by authorities for medical device product development
• Ensuring full compliance with Radiometers quality system.
• Demonstrate Danaher values and adopt DBS tools across team.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Four-year-degree (BE/BTech) in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of software development experience in medical or regulated environment using agile SW development methodologies.
• Experience in Embedded Linux involved in Linux Device driver development, Yocto project, Board bring u, Bash shell scripting, Bootloader development (U-boot)
• Application development in Multithreading in C++,Modern C++ (standard 11 & later)
• Ability to act as a technical driver for the rest of the team. Possess strong analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• QT with QML, Basic Python scripting, Usage of CMake, makefiles
• Good understanding of software development processes, preferably for a regulated medical devices environment (Design controls) HealthCare domain
• Azure DevOps, Git version control exposures is preferable
• Good Oral and Written skills in English.
