Position Purpose
The Sr. Java Developer will be responsible to :
- Analysis of requirements (functional and technical)
- Design and development of backend application.
- Develop and maintain Stored Procedures
- Design and Develop UI pages
- Develop Automation scripts using Selenium
- Lead the team on technical aspects.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
The Sr. Java Developer will have following responsibilities:
• Work with business analysts/users to understand requirements.
• Perform detailed technical analysis with impacts (technical/functionally) on server side and the database
• Design ,Develop and document technical changes
• Develop, test and provide support during implementation
• Performance optimization (Profiling java applications ,Sybase database) when required
• Create Web Services on REST using Micro services.
• Design UI pages using Angular
• Mentor and carry out code reviews of junior members in the team
• Guide team members on Technical aspects
Contributing Responsibilities
Domain / Technical :
• At least 6+ years web-based development experience coding with Java (J2EE) as primary language in a 3-tier architecture
• Knowledge and/or experience of the financial services industry will be a BIG plus
• Good understanding of software development life cycle and Agile/iterative methodology
• Technical competency in the following:
- Good understanding of OOPS and RDBMS concepts
- Expert in:
- Java 8 (JDK 1.8) & JEE 1.8 (JSP/ JSTL/ Servlet/ JDBC)
- Angular, Struts, Spring framework, Sprint Boot, Hibernate, JUnit
- Sybase : Strong PL/SQL programming skills
- Knowledge of at least one application server (Tomcat, WebLogic)
- Strong knowledge of Java & J2EE Design Patterns, and Mock tests
- Knowledge of tools such as Eclipse (IDE), GIT, GITLAB, BITBUCKET
- Knowledge of Devops model and tools (JENKINS, SONAR, ARTIFACTORY, ANSIBLE)
- Knowledge of TDD & BDD model.
• Ability to perform technical analysis, design and identify impacts (functional/technical)
• Proven expertise in writing good technical specifications.
• Proven expertise in writing good code & experience in Web development projects.
