Position Summary As an Infrastructure Engineer at Harness, you will work with all the product owners, engineering leads and SRE teams to build a scalable, reliable, autonomous, self-service platform. Create strategic solutions that can range from troubleshooting low level networking issues to designing, building, and securing Dev -> Production workflows. Candidate should have a rich understanding of cloud networks and critical cloud based infrastructure Key Responsibilities • Build a great customer experience for internal engineering teams using your infrastructure • Design, build, and maintain Harness’ cloud networks • Work on scaling, automation, reliability and observability of critical network services • Operate your service, debug issues, and support customers • Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization • Onboard new engineers and present brown bag sessions to share your knowledge • Develop self-service tooling for users to troubleshoot networking issues for their service • Develop effective mechanisms to troubleshoot low level networking issues. • Streamline onboarding experience for customers to Mesh and Service discovery • Design and build resilient cloud based infrastructure • Drive Infrastructure improvement projects to completion with a sense of urgency • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to plan and execute on Infrastructure projects • Automate, secure and improve Dev to Production workflows About You • A strong engineering background and interest in systems challenges at scale • Experience in Go, C++, Python, C or similar languages; YAML, AWS, and Linux • 4+ years of experience with scaling and migrating systems in a changing environment that allows for little to no downtime • Experience working with technologies such as Linux networking, DNS, IPAM, firewalls, routing, proxies • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing network protocols such as TCP, UDP, IPsec • Infrastructure as code automation experience.
