We are striving to enhance the performance and reliability of our site as well as our ability to quickly deploy new features to customers. To help us be more successful, we are creating a new team that bridges the Data Engineering and Application Development teams in the cloud environment. . This team will collaborate with the Infrastructure and Technology Operations Team but will embed with one or more of our data engineering and software development teams to further our DevOps culture.
As a senior member of the DevOps team, you will work alongside Developers, data engineers, SDETS, data scientists, architects ,program managers, product owners, as well as the central
infrastructure/operations teams to help Development teams deliver features faster than ever. You will collaborate closely to help build new resources, help manage the product’s operational
responsibilities, work on projects and initiatives, create new patterns and facilitate communications
with the central platform teams. You will work with members of your team to assure that
solutions are consistent and meet standards.
In this role you will get to:
● As the DevOps and Software Engineer, you'll be building the foundations of DevOps for the
Data Engineering ,ML/AI and Data Scientist team
● You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and
operations of a fast-paced, highly-available software and data system.
● The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and system
administration, focusing on automation and scalability.
● This role needs to collaborate with our Data Engineering , ML /AI Team , Data Scientist ,
Analysts , Enterprise Architects and Infra team
● Take a leading role in building all DevOps areas, especially the GCP cloud environment, tools,
services, and up-time
● Architect, build, improve, maintain, and document internal release systems and pipelines
● Automate the deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes and tools
● Plan and push forward the growth and scale of data capacity for various products
● Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to prevent future
occurrences
● Continuously improve automated build, test, and deployment workflows
● Drive the CI/CD strategy for our product pipelines with a focus on reliability and scale
Who you are:
● Experience in software engineering and development
● Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS
● Expertise in unix environment
● Expertise in creating ci-cd pipelines using with Github and Github actions or Gitlab
● Exposure with Deployment tools like Harness, Argo CD
● Experience with GitOps, Terraform, Kubernetes
● Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Google Cloud Composer
● Proficiency in one or more of these scripting languages - Shell, Python scripting.
● Familiar with large-scale production systems and technologies, for example, load balancing,
monitoring, distributed systems, and configuration management.
● Strong proven ability to improve processes and automate workflows.
● Strong coding experience with Python, Java, Scala or similar programming languages.
Good To have experience:
● Experience in running performance testing and performance tuning
● Experience with writing and analyzing complex SQL constructs.
● Experience in handling large volume of data, storage optimization and monitoring
● Confident with the utilization of Web Services and APIs.
● Experience with the following is a plus:
● Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk
● Experience with streaming services like Kafka
● Working experience with service mesh architecture, like Istio
● Experience in API Gateways and API Management Platforms, like Apigee
● Experience in APM monitoring tools such as NewRelic
