About the role :
ZScaler is looking for an experienced Senior DevTest software engineer to spearhead the development of test infrastructure, system testing and automation for a new Digital Experience monitoring solution built on top of Zscaler cloud platform. The ideal candidate is technical with a good programming and scripting background and knowledgeable in testing SaaS based software.
Responsibilities/What You’ll Do:
Participate in product development early-on during the development life-cycle, create the necessary test infrastructure and network setup, and help with early integration testing
Build the infrastructure to test the product programmatically, measure code coverage and automate test cases
Work with developers to improve the ability to test the product and troubleshoot issues in production
Be a champion of quality and promote best practices to improve code quality within the team
Help with building and maintaining CI/CD pipeline,
Mentor and guide other test automation engineers, with the opportunity to grow into a technical team lead.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Your Background:
5+ software engineering experience as developer or test automation engineer in Cloud SaaS-based enterprise application, networking, security or performance monitoring product.
3+ years in Automation Testing, system level tests, performance, security and/or API testing. Versatile and fast learner with the ability to take early code and help with early integration testing
Understanding of testing methodologies, test planning, and test execution experience is required.
Good knowledge of Cloud platforms (ex: Azure, AWS), Networking, HTTP/HTTPS.
Performance and scale testing of cloud applications.
Automation experience in one or more languages: Python/Shell/Java/C.
Self-starter takes initiative and juggles multiple priorities, identifies and completes tasks on-time; goal-driven
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to partner with local and remote engineers.
