Job Description
Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Gathering reporting requirements and conducting analysis for reporting needs
• Develops advanced BI applications using the MS BI stack including SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL/stored procedures as well as MDXSSIS.
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience with Telerik reporting will be viewed favorably otherwise advanced crystal report, and/or Power BI skills are required.
• Translating business requirements into specifications that will be used for reporting design and configuration, and for data warehouse design.
• Designing and developing SSIS / SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream systems.
• Design, develop and modify relational and multidimensional database structures, relationships, data flows and data interfaces within the data warehouse as needed.
• Builds data transformations with SSIS including importing data from files, moving data from one database platform to another
• Debug and tune SSIS or other ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data
• Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred.
• Produce detailed design and support documentation.
• Comply with CIVICA technical standards, best practice and other regulatory/external standards.
• Write clear and concise project documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
Requirements
• Excellent in oral and written communication skills and able to take part in meetings and discussions.
• 6-8 years of Advanced SQL Server (PL-SQL, T-SQL) experience
• Object Oriented development experience
• Version Control Experience (preferably CVS, SVN or GIT)
• Good in oral and written communication skills and able to take part in meetings and discussions.
• Proactive personality and able to work autonomously.
• Good team player.
• The ability to work to agreed deadlines.
• Should be a detailed oriented.
• Ability to work at detailed and abstract levels.
• Ability to guide junior team members.
• Self-learner.
• Track record of delivering commitments on time and quality.
• Good leadership quality.
