The Global Patient Services (GPS) Salesforce Functional Analyst works closely with Business Analysts to translate Requirements into functional requirements that developers, architects and testers use to better understand functional aspects a solution must meet. A core member of an agile team driving user story gap analysis, writing user stories, help in story pointing, and functional testing. The role acts as a single point of contact for close-knit product teams and business analysts, aggregating and communicating questions, answers, and alternatives to allow for increased solution velocity and quality outcomes. They provide a detailed understanding of the business requirements and how they will be addressed by the Salesforce solution. • Use cases: Create/maintain scenarios describing user interaction with the Salesforce solution. They outline the steps that users will take to achieve specific goals and the expected outcomes. • User stories: Create/maintain narratives describing a user goal and importance. Help define the scope of the project and provide guidance to developers and solution architects. • Process flows: Create visual representations of the business processes that the Salesforce solution will support. E.g., Sequence Diagrams, Data Flows, Process Flows etc. • Requirements traceability matrix: Link functional requirements to specific features of the Salesforce solution. Ensure all requirements are addressed and tested. • Test plans and test cases: These documents outline the testing approach and the specific tests that will be executed to ensure that the Salesforce solution meets the functional requirements. They are used by testers to validate the solution Qualifications & Experience • Ability to translate business requirements to user stories. • Understanding of the Salesforce platform and its primary functions. • Experience on Salesforce Service Cloud, Community / Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud. • Experience on Salesforce data management using appropriate tools. • Ability to learn new technologies and embrace the challenge learning presents. • Strong and current knowledge of web standards, emerging technologies, and trends. • An excellent communicator, both verbally and written. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. • Any of the following Salesforce Certifications are a benefit o Salesforce Administrator o Salesforce Advanced Administrator o Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant o Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant • Requires thorough knowledge of the principles and concepts of a discipline and developed knowledge of other related disciplines, typically gained through a university degree and 4-6 years of experience. Works predominately within established procedures. Makes decisions that impact own work and other groups/teams. Works under minimal supervision. May act as a technical point of contact. Acts as a functional mentor to more junior team members. May represent team or function on program or project teams. • Does not have any supervisory responsibility, however, may act as a functional mentor to more junior team members. • Identifies key influencers and builds a network of internal/external relationships. Persuades and negotiate effectively with peers and customers on own work outcomes. • Makes decisions while understanding the team's work and how it fits into the broader enterprise. May need support from within the team or outside the team when working on broader or complex topics in understanding environment. • Identifies opportunities to improve and grow, balancing performance feedback and career development • Applies a continuous improvement mindset in enhancing efficiency, quality and effectiveness or their work outputs. • Displays understanding of performance metrics driving the team's goals and questions the external environment and its' implication on the goals and strategies. • Able to review multiple factors of data and can effectively organize information to compare and assess short and long-term implications.
