The Role:
Ever considered being at the forefront of products for personalized Ads. The SSAI team's challenge is to serve personalized Ads to a large number of users concurrently in a live-streaming event. You will be working on monitoring, profiling & testing of the scalable solutions to support the future growth of the system to serve the ever-growing user base.
The technologies you'll be working with:
Python, Pytest, Git, AWS(EC2, S3, ALB, DynamoDB, Route53, CloudFront, Cloud watch), Docker K8s, Performance benchmarking tools like Blaze meter, Locust or JMeter, REST API Testing, Splunk
About the day-to-day job:
Monitor SSAI system log events to analyze the usage patterns & define the proactive QA strategy. Provide solutions for improvements, together with other QA engineers and guide the rest of the team in implementing the strategy and help them build an automation-first attitude. As our new Test Automation Engineer colleague, you will be exposed to various technologies like Python, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, Git, and SQL.
Your mission at Irdeto:
• An obtained B.Tech, BSc / MSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Experience with the delivery chain required for OTT Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) content, utilizing HTTP Live Stream (HLS) and DASH.
• Understanding of Encoder, Packager, Origins, CDN in OTT-based content delivery chain.
• A keen interest in pattern analysis by monitoring log streams & application dashboards.
• Solid experience in testing cloud-based distributed server-side applications.
• Solid experience in assessing software quality processes (test suite management, reporting, test automation, test execution, etc.) and how to translate that into an improvement plan.
• Hands-on experience with Python programming.
• Experience in cloud and deployment skills: AWS, Docker, K8s.
• Skilled in testing projects based on domains like Video Streaming, OTT platforms.
• Solid understanding of development tools such as Git, GitLab, GitLab CI, and Jenkins.
• Well-versed with Test processes, test planning, and test designing.
• Involved in understanding, reviewing, and analyzing the customer requirements and preparing the test design to meet the finalized requirements.
• Team player but able to work independently and remotely.
• Good Testing and Debugging skills.
• Proficient English communication skills.
How you can add value to the team
• Knowledge of how DASH/HLS streams are consumed by consumer devices and players.
• Good understanding of DVB/ MPEG Standards.
• Good understanding of the Ad-tech ecosystem.
• Video and Audio domain knowledge.
• Experience in testing Headend, Conditional Access (CA), Middleware, and OTT solutions.
• Experience with networking technologies, and protocols.
