Senior Software Engineer

Role Purpose CIVICA India is seeking a creative and self-motivated Senior Cloud Engineer who could mentor developers in cloud design and implementation. Ensuring requirements are understood and communicated, software quality is high and deadlines are met with considerable exposure to multiple technologies and platforms. Providing technical specialism in Public, Hybrid and Private Cloud within the Solutions team of the Civica Technology Centre. Help Lead and engineers on the design, development, planning and execution of the implementation of a range cloud focussed projects on both Civica’s and our customer’s private, hybrid and public cloud infrastructure. Pushing innovation and developing leading edge solutions that deliver the business needs of the Civica Group and our Customers. Principal Accountabilities Assist Lead and team for project deliverables activities, including: Working experience on Azure and AWS cloud based application Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL, should be able to troubleshoot single handily Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and its implementation Supporting designing architectures and upholding good architecture principles. Assist the lead/architect in planning and design of specific components/tasks Assist/Produce High and Low Level Designs and provide technical assistance to the development team Develop solutions that consider security, future proofing, maintainability and cost effectiveness Provide coaching, mentoring and support to the Projects and Network Engineers Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems Essential Competencies Technical knowledge of private, hybrid and public cloud designs, environments and infrastructure Demonstrable experience of working on small/large infrastructure transformation projects and programmes Experience building, automating, and maintaining infrastructure with AWS using CloudFormation, Ansible or equivalent Amazon AWS infrastructure solution design and implementation Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure solution design and implementation VMware and Hyper-V Infrastructure solution design and implementation Active Directory and Cloud Active Directory including hybrid integration Design of service management and monitoring infrastructure Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Self-starter approach, highly motivated, highly organised Ability to manage & plan deployments to teams of technical engineers to lead the delivery of the solution to the end user Good understanding of Networking, Security, Storage and Identity Management Mandatory Skills: .Net Core 3.x and above and MVC 5.0 or above SQL server 2014, 2017 and above Web Services / WCF Service /WebAPI IaaS Web Apps SQL Storage Account Services for e g S3 Virtual Network Azure and/or AWS PaaS Services – Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, Aurora etc PowerShell 6.0 and above Azure Dev Ops (Formerly VSTS) and versioning control e g git Knowledge CI/CD Entity Framework 4.0 or above – database first and/or code first Azure Entra ID (formerly known as AAD) Azure CLI
