At Nielsen Book, our products include metadata and sales aggregation platforms as well as supporting B2B commerce between book suppliers and customers.
Nielsen Book Services is looking for experienced developers to help take our products and services to the next level.
As Senior Software Engineer (Java) you will be working within a Scaled Agile Framework environment to develop core products and services to support the book industry across multiple countries, including working with international standards such as ISBN and ONIX metadata. Some of our core technologies include but are not limited-to Java, Linux, Oracle, Azure, SQL Server, Kubernetes, Wildfly
Responsibilities
Responsible for delivery of solutions from requirements clarification through delivery and support
Reporting daily status
Tracking time accurately across different projects
Qualifications
4 to 8 yrs of hands on experience software development experience
A solid background in Java, Spring or Spring Boot and testing frameworks and relational databases is preferred. UI/UX and Cloud experience is desirable but not essential.
A curious, problem-solving attitude
Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, to ensure that collaboration with others is clear and the solutions delivered are truly fit-for-purpose.
