Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at ZEISS Vision Care. As a key member of our international development team, you will be responsible for extending an existing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solution within a modern hybrid-cloud microservice environment.
About the Role
You will develop and implement MES software for Lens Manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
You will work on implementing system functions, controls, and algorithms, leveraging your expertise in software development.
Unit-testing will be a crucial aspect of your role, requiring you to design and implement tests to achieve reasonable test coverage.
You will collaborate with the agile project team using Azure DevOps to manage deployment and ensure efficient release management.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing MES software solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Implementing system functions, controls, and algorithms, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
Designing and implementing unit-tests to achieve high test coverage, identifying and resolving defects efficiently.
Collaborating with the agile project team to ensure smooth deployment and release management.
Requirements
A successfully completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, preferably with infrastructure or server administration skills.
Advanced programming experience in Java, proficiency in Modern IDEs.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Strong teamwork skills, customer-centric approach, and ability to adapt to international teams.
Skill Set
Must Have: Experience in front-end development with React, Vue, or Angular.
Should Have: Basic knowledge of GIT for source code versioning.
Should have: Experience in software development of enterprise software.
Preferred: Usage of Azure Devops for CI/CD.
Bonus: Experience in MongoDB.
