We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to develop and support new and existing solutions. You’ll provide technical expertise, guidance, and perform technical code reviews ensuring consistency and conformity to agreed standards.
Development is a growing team within easyJet Holidays with the important mission of developing the website and all our proprietary software. Our own development capability is a key differentiator for us and supports the company reaching its goals. It is a very tight-knit team that moves fast and must deal with a lot of pressure.
This is a permanent role, based in Luton. (Hybrid Working)
What You’ll Be Doing
• As a senior developer you will be responsible for supporting and guiding the development and product teams. Guiding them to better solutions and helping them avoid issues.
• Set our standards and ensure the teams know how to apply them.
• Coaching teams on better development and project management techniques.
• Working with business stake holders to help them understand the constraints of our systems and where new possibilities exist.
• Delivering world class development that guides the company's future.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
• Demonstrable experience in developing solutions using an array of technologies including .NET, .NET Core, and Node
• Experience of various JavaScript libraries such as React/Angular/jQuery. HTML/CSS general front-end skills
• Experience of Sitecore and other CMS’
• Experience of tools such as GIT for source control and Team City for build and CI
• Experience of testing at multiple levels, including Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
• Able to develop solutions in a high transactional, high availability environment at enterprise scale
• Able to translate technical architecture into technical implementation.
• Able to guide and coach development teams, and work with them to find the best solution.
• Solid understanding of full SDLC.
• A good understanding and practical use of cloud technologies (specifically AWS).
