Responsibilities:
Software Development:
● Design and develop high-quality software applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with product goals.
● Lead in the implementation and maintenance of software components and features, optimizing for performance and scalability.
Technical Leadership:
● Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering growth and skill development within the team.
● Contribute to architectural decisions and design discussions, ensuring solutions meet business objectives and scalability needs.
● Drive engineering excellence by promoting code reviews, best practices, and process improvements.
System Architecture:
● Collaborate with peers to design and optimize scalable and reliable software architecture, aligning with organizational goals and standards.
● Evaluate existing system architecture, identifying areas for enhancement and proposing solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
Quality Assurance and Testing:
● Collaborate with QA engineers to design and implement effective testing strategies, ensuring software quality and reliability.
● Advocate for automated testing and continuous integration to maintain a high standard of code quality and product stability.
Collaboration and Communication:
● Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into functional software solutions.
● Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical team members, fostering a shared understanding of project goals and requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
● Promote the adoption of agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and DevOps principles to enhance development efficiency and product delivery.
● Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, actively participating in retrospectives and proposing initiatives to drive efficiency.
Competencies
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and teams.
● 3+ years of proven experience as a Software Engineer or a similar role, with a strong background in managing and supporting large-scale production environments.
● Broad experience in designing, programming, and implementing large information systems.
● Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Shell, php).
● Proficiency with AWS Cloud Platform, including services such as EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, and others.
● Strong experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
● Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Newrelic etc.) to maintain observability.
● Experience with continuous integration, testing, and deployment and microservices, with tools like Git, Jenkins.
● Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc). Bonus points for NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB, Couchbase, Mongo, etc)
