About This Role
The Comscore Hollywood Software Distribution team works with top movie studios and theatre circuits to create a new generation of technical solutions and services that will maximize efficiency, drive unprecedented revenue opportunities and aid the transition from film to digital. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of new and existing software products. This individual should have a strong technical background as well as the ability to organize and lead a team within a fast-paced development environment.
What You’ll Do
• Manage and assign development tasks
• Complete development tasks, including any necessary coding, debugging or unit testing.
• Enforce existing development procedures and coding standards.
• Complete code reviews.
• Breakdown and estimation of development tasks as necessary within the product life cycle.
• Understand how each task relates to the overall product and the business in general.
• Work to complete assigned R&D assignments.
• Participate in software support as necessary.
• Participate in fine tuning development processes and procedures.
What You’ll Need
• 5+ years of prior work experience in 1, 2 and 3rd Technical Skills below order:
In-depth knowledge of CSS (MUST HAVE)
• SASS (“.scss” files)
• Solid foundation in styling and code organization
• Knowledge of browser compatibility issues (excluding IE… we will not be support IE)
• Flexbox is highly desired, but we can train if necessary for the right candidate
Some basic Javascript knowledge (MUST HAVE)
• Arrow functions, regular functions, basic data types, etc
• Understanding of Array operations such as “map” and “slice”
• Understanding of “fetch” and asynchronous api calls
• Understanding of Closures would be helpful, but can train if necessary
• Understanding of “immutable” would be helpful, but can train if necessary
