Sr. Software Engineer
Diamanti is the technology leader in hyper-converged infrastructure for Kubernetes(K8s) based environments. Purpose-built for modern workloads in distributed cloud environments (hybrid, multi, and edge), Diamanti’s enterprise Kubernetes platform gives infrastructure Architects, IT Operations and applications owners the performance, simplicity, efficiency, and enterprise-class features they need to run Kubernetes at scale in production.
The Diamanti Kubernetes Engine team’s mission is to provide a certified foundation for the flexible and secure enterprise-grade platform, which other teams can easily extend with customer-centric features, across all multi-cloud targets, based on the latest K8S releases. We aim to provide a world-class product that is able to sustain constant change and keep up with customers’ needs at scale, preserving the highest level of security combined with ease of use. Our focus is on providing an excellent developer experience and working closely with our colleagues from other teams and customers.
Must-Have Qualification
• 3+ recent years of experience in enterprise applications, multi-cloud applications, or back-end development.
• 2+ recent years of Kubernetes experience.
• Proficiency in the following: Go (mid to advanced level), Python (beginning to mid-level)
• Troubleshooting skills that span across applications, networking (TCP/IP), and systems
• Practical experience building K8S infrastructure on a cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies/Scrum and track record with rapid release cycles
• Demonstrated technical background; an engineer at heart with an inner desire to make an impact
• Computer Science-Software Engineering Degree or equivalent software engineering experience
• Intellectual honesty, high courage, low ego, constant desire to learn, collaborate and help.
• The ideal candidate would have a strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization, solid coding skills, broad knowledge of software development, and excellent communication skills
• To be successful, you will need to focus your creative energy on collaboration, communication, and producing high-quality deliverables
Role and Responsibilities
• Design, build and release next-generation features for the Diamanti hyper-converged infrastructure stack.
• Serve as our main internal Kubernetes Expert for all control plane items related to Diamanti Kubernetes Engine
• Debug and troubleshoot our Kubernetes-based cluster application
• Collaborate with other teams on architecting, engineering, and optimizing their features info Diamanti Kubernetes Engine and cloud products
• Automate repetitive manual tasks, remove opportunities for human error, find security risks and give feedback to colleagues constructively
Preferred Additional Skills
• Networking or storage exposure is a plus.
• Production experience with Kubernetes
