The MariaDB SkySQL cloud team, is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer – Analytics.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop features in MariaDB Serverless Analytics product.
• Develop various components of cloud based DBaaS infrastructure such as micro-services and APIs.
• Identify performance problems and develop solutions to fix them.
• Collaborate with Product, Support, DevOps, QA and architects in designing highly secure infrastructure.
• Implement high quality, secure and robust applications with optimal performance in a fast paced environment.
• Lead and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in software development
• 5+ years of experience in cloud-based distributed software development
• Deep understanding of algorithms & data structures and their runtime complexities.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark or similar analytical products
• Solid understanding of OS Internals and networking
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes in public cloud is a must (Docker also ok!)
• Proficiency in any of the following languages: C/C++, Java, Python or Golang
• Development experience within a Unix / Linux environment
• Excellent knowledge of RDBMSs, (specific experience with MariaDB / MySQL is a plus)
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or higher
Bonus Skills/Experience
• Experience with Robot Framework.
• Experience with PyTest will be a big advantage
• Experience working with any of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of any CI/CD system (like Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of MariaDB enterprise products will be helpful.
