Job Overview Cloud Architecture with complete understanding of end-to-end flow of IAAS/PAAS/SAAS offerings, particularly with Virtual cloud (Vmware sphere). In depth understanding of VMWare vRA 8/vCenter. Good Understanding of DevOps tools. Engineering the VM's required for Development community for new applications and operations of the VM platform. Support the template building and automation for VM generation. Provide guidance to support team and as an SME for Dev Cloud. Co-ordinate with Vendor and other engineering group. Primary Tech Description • Vmware product familiarity: Vmware vSphere, Understanding VRA 8, VRO • Experience with infrastructure handling performance under load and peak, and other resiliency and capacity scenarios; conducts performance analysis and tuning of performance test approaches. • Understanding of Packer • Experience managing process improvement efforts including automation and/or cloud delivery • Scripting knowledge: Shell/Bash/Power Shell/Python & yaml • High level knowledge on Jenkins pipeline like Groovy based. • Linux/Unix & Windows OS Administration hands-on. Support to Linux and Windows OS Virtual Machines. • Good to have experience in Vault concepts like Hashicorp Vault • Software Engineering – API's, frameworks • Demonstrates a good working knowledge in containerization and associated technologies like Docker • Broad understanding of Cloud Engineering Concepts and Methodologies. • Hand-on experience with Chef automation and testing using kitchen framework. (Config Management) Role & Responsibilities • Build, and maintains Mastercard Dev Cloud Ecosystem ( vmware VRA, vSphere, VRO) and associated software and hardware infrastructure. • Creating high quality requirements documents, use-cases, design and other technical artifacts including but not limited to performance benchmarking, feasibility study. • Perform system maintenance, identification of root cause of production issue, remediation of the problems. Adapt to the technical artifact templates per the needs of the project and technology. • Research and evaluate current and upcoming technologies and frameworks. • Blueprint based development on VMware vRA8 • Develop application-based configuration via CHEF cookbooks. • Customize Docker Engine develop Docker containers. • Automation via Jenkins Pipeline • Packer configuration for Template creation • Participate in PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help in finalizing Technologies, Methodologies and Frameworks. • Collaborate with Vendor for Support of Products. • Own complex problems across services and facilitate to drive resolution • Drive integration of services focusing on customer journey and experience • Perform regular demos/acceptance discussions in interacting with Product owners • Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) to deliver an efficient and secure system from the initial ideation to production deployment • Work as part of a cross-functional and geographically distributed team to make our developer experience awesome • Help shape the future of software development in Builders Enablement and across Mastercard as a whole. Other Skills And Qualification • Graduate : BE or equivalent education • Around 8 - 12 years of experience in relevant field. • Must be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and have the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment. • Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results. • Possesses strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills. • Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.
