Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter in Applications Development. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop simple applications solutions. Second level professional with direct impact on results and outcome.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
CGI is looking for an automation engineer to join at our on-shore application support team. This automation engineer will build automated solutions for the application validations and support solutions. Building automated self-healing capability to the known issues on the defined SOPs and problem analytics in a systematic approach and solutioning are the directions the team will be focused to achieve. The automation expert should be providing thought leadership for automating complex manual tasks and solutions.
o Develop and implement automation strategy across a multi-application program
o Work with key stakeholders for defect analysis and update into Defect Tracking System
o Participate in scoping project schedule
o Participate in reviews, requirements design, project meetings
o Work with application support team to build the requirements and prioritizing the projects to automate
o Assist management in new automation initiatives/challenges
o Prepare and execute automated scripts for maintenance weekends and incident resolutions
• 3 to 7 years of system automation experience
• Python (OOP) on a windows and Linux platform
• Solid understanding of operating system principles
• Knowledge of system management tools
• Self-initiative, details-oriented, capable of bringing new ideas to the table
• Demonstrated ability to propose the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
