What’s The Role
As Senior Software Engineer - ServiceNow, you are responsible for the development and support of the ServiceNow landscape. You will primarily serve as technical expert for software development and implementation using ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM).
Specific accountabilities include the following:
• Delivery of software, which may include new development, configuration, maintenance and installation of third-party packages, and software integration efforts using ServiceNow ITOM platform.
• Acts as lead in advocating the ‘right’ ServiceNow solution primarily within ITOM (Discovery & Service Mapping) area as well as within ITSM products
• Navigates through the ServiceNow advanced scripting techniques such as Client Script, Business Rules, UI Policies, Portal Upgrades / Cloning, and orchestration workflows to ensure efficient implementation
• Applies technical expertise in ServiceNow ITOM Probes, Sensors, and custom pattern development to take initiatives in the deployment of new solution as well enhancements
• Serves as technical lead within the growing Agile work environment; willing to provide technical guidance to other developers on the team
• Collaborates with other natural teams to ensure that software applications meet the business needs and objectives
• Stays up-to-date with new technologies and tools and evaluating their usefulness; participates in code reviews to ensure that software applications are of high quality and meet coding standards
What We Need From You
We are keen to hear from professionals who have 10-15 years of experience in software development with demonstrated relevant experience in ServiceNow ITOM.
• In-depth knowledge and implementation experience in ServiceNow ITOM (ITOM Discovery & Service Mapping), Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and Asset Management product capability
• Must be a Certified System Administrator (CSA) and a Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery (CIS- Discovery)
• Must have development experience on ETL Integration Hub and expertise in Flow Designer
• Has thorough knowledge of designing and building technical Integrations (Rest API, SOAP, and CI/CD pipeline)
• Has excellent team management skills, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination with the developers, testers, and operations engineer
• Certification in ITSM as well as experience in ITSM demand management who has worked with Product Owners would be good to complement
• Implementation experience in cloud/on-prem, AWS, Azure, WellVantage, Storage, and Kubernetes would be good to have
